This hike is part of an End-to-End Series of hikes.  You are welcome to join for a single hike or come along for the next 9 hikes as we cover the entire eastern sector of the trail.

We will be meeting at a roadside parking area at the east end of Coates Rd and Russell Road and then driving to our starting point.  This is a beautiful “Ontario Country Roads” hike that will essentially take us from Ashburn into the southern part of the Township of Scugog. We will pass the Rahmani Tract of forest as well as the Purple Woods Conservation Area during our trek.  This point of the trail is at the centre of the Oak Ridges Trail.

Preparing for the Hike: Wear comfortable footwear, dress in layers, bring a hat and at least 2 litres of water.  No dogs and no drop-outs.

This is a shuttle hike and will require some hikers to volunteer to drive.
