I’m looking for a challenge and the Maitland Trail El Camino looks like a great event. This is an annual fundraiser for this trail. Please note that this event is 75% sold out as of June 17th.

This will be a challenging weekend due to distance and terrain. The route is 50 km from Auburn to Goderich over two days (Saturday 30 km and Sunday 20 km). There is a shorter option. 

I plan on hiking at a moderate pace of 4 km per hour and have selected the 7:45 am bus shuttle on Saturday and 8:15 am on Sunday.

This is an annual fundraiser for the Maitland Trail Association. The entry fee is $45. Additional expenses include transportation from your home to your accommodations, travel to the hike location, meals, accommodations etc. 

All participants are required to take care of their own arrangements and payments for registration, transportation, accommodation reservations, meals etc.

I will start a group email to collaborate with the participants regarding arrangements leading up to the event. We will discuss the possibility of carpooling, accommodations, meals etc. but note that no one is obligated and can make their own arrangements.
