Uxbridge - West Walker Woods (Conc. 6) Mod-Fast, Anna Sunn

Members and non-members welcome.

ORTA Map 5; 10+km; 2.5hrs; Moderate to fast pace.  Meet at 9:15 am for 9:30 start.

Loop hike through Walker Woods and the Glen Major forest.  Pretty forest trails.  Some hills.  Be prepared with proper hiking footwear and adequate water.  

Non-members are required to contact the hike leader by 6 pm the evening before to ensure that this hike is suitable for you.  

Meet at parking lot on the east side of Conc. 6, 2 km south of Durham Rd. 21 at Allbright Rd.   

Please note that this is a pay parking lot.  It is Zone 103.  Where possible, hikers are encouraged to carpool from alternate locations (Brock Tract or Pleasure Valley parking lots off Brock Rd.  or Wilder or North Walker Woods roadside parking on Concession 6) with fellow hikers to reduce parking fees.  Details regarding the Uxbridge parking system can be found at Permit Parking - Trail Sustainability - Township of Uxbridge.  

Additional note:  There is room for about 5 vehicles to roadside park at the entrance to north Walker Woods (about 500 metres north of our meeting place).   You are permitted to park here, with no parking fee and can then walk the short distance down to our meeting place
