Scugog - ORTA Trail Cleanup Party, slow, Karen Graham

Members only hike. Pre-registration mandatory.

ORTA Map 6; this is a slow hike that will include clearing branches/brush etc. from the trail; 5-10 km; 4 hours; slow; very hilly.

Please join Mike & Joanne Baker, Scugog Chapter Co-chairs for trail cleanup. The cleanup will occur on the 4.5 km section of the ORTA trail between Lakeridge and Ashburn Roads. Once the group is assembled at the meeting spot, we will determine if some helpers will shuttle mid-trail to Crow's Pass Conservation Area. For the most part, volunteers will be clearing branches/brush from the trail. Any concerns with trees or obstacles on the trail will be reported to our Chapter Co-chairs for follow-up. 

What to bring: work gloves and sturdy footwear are mandatory. Bring water, snacks, and lunch (depending on timing). Please be mindful of tick safety and precautions.

Meeting location: just west of 610 High Point Road, Port Perry and park on the shoulder (just east of Ashburn Road and High Point Road). What3Words ///roving.dental.retro
