Clarington -Old Swamp Rd Trail and Yeo Side Trail, Moderate, Scott Cecchin

ORTA MAP 8; 10.5km; +-3 hours; This there-and-back hike will go along ORTA’s main trail on the Old Swamp Rd Trail up to County Rd 20, and we’ll do a quick detour onto the Yeo Side Trail on the way back. Trail follows a sweet little creek through the forest, with some occasional views of the countryside. As usual, expect some hills, sand, uneven footing, and perhaps mud or ice depending on the day.

Dress weather appropriate; bring water and snack; prepare for ice, if conditions are such.

Open to 8 registrants members and public hikers. Dogs welcome.

Meet up by 9:25 for a 9:35 am start.

PARKING: Meet at the Old Swamp Rd Trail entrance’s roadside parking area on Leskard Rd (see coordinates). Parking area is somewhat limited, so consider carpooling from the nearby Highway 35 Carpool lot (feel free to contact hike leader if you’d like to do this).
